These women are truly a great inspiration to the Hispanic community I know it took them hard work a dedication to get where they are today. Anyone can accomplish their goals it’s just a matter of fighting and working extra hard for what you want in life. 

Jennifer Lopez

Also called J.Lo was born and raised in the Bronx, NY her parents are both from Puerto Rican descent. She’s does it all singing, acting, record and television producer, dancer, fashion designer, mommy, and now a judge at American Idol. 

 

Shakira

Was born in Colombia, As a Child, she showed a big interest in writing, from poems to song writing. She is known for her singing career, songwriter, and especially her dancing.

 

Selena Gomez

Born in Texas, her mother is half Italian and her father is Mexican American. She is best known for her role as Alex Russo on Disney’s television series “Wizards of Waverly Place”. Her career has also grown becoming the lead singer and entrepreneur of the “pop band Selena Gomez & the Scene”. As you can see at a young age Selena is a successful actress, singer and entrepreneur.

Diana Ramirez

She was born in Dominican Republic, she recently known for the roles played in “Heroes” as “Maya Herrera” and her the role in the movie of “X-Men: The Last Stand” where she played the role of  “Callisto”. Diana’s Career as an actress continues to bloom I expect to see her in other upcoming movies or TV series.

She was born in Miami, Florida both of her parents are from Cuban decent. America Georgina Ferrera  born in Los Angeles, California from Parents that immigrated from Honduras best known for playing the lead role in the television comedy series “Ugly Betty”. She also played roles in  Real Women “Have Curves”, “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants”, its sequel “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2”,

 

Amelia Vega

She was born in Dominican Republic. She became the first Dominican woman to be named Miss Universe, in 2003. At the age of 18, she was the youngest winner since 1994. Amelia has appeared in the cover of several magazines, she also has been the lead image for campaigns made by the beauty cosmetics company like Cover Girl. She worked in several TV reality shows such as “Voces de America” and “Suegras”. She was also in the movie “The Lost City”. Amelia has her own business in Florida called Essence by Amelia and has an album to be released this year.

Was born in Mexico she is a well known singer and actress. Her name is linked to soap operas which were the key to her international superstardom. Her soap operas have been watched all over the world. She is considered as "a queen of soap operas".

Sofia Vergara

Was born Colombian, she is an actress, comedian, television host, model, and entrepreneur. Vergara currently stars on the ABC series “Modern Family” as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett,

Born in Havana, Cuba, she is a television host, model, and comedian. Daisy Fuentes broke barriers as MTV's first Latina VJ (Signed to MTV US and MTV Latin America simultaneously), and as Revlon's first Latina spokesperson to be signed to a worldwide contract
